 LIFE IN PALEOLITHIC  TIMES

The rise of human beings across the Earth was the start of the prehistoric times called Palaeolithic, which means ancient stone, because these first human beings used tools made of stone.
These primitive villagers lived in the open air.

At times they would refuge in cave to protect themselves from the cold and from animals.
They were nomadic people and never lived in one fixed location, although they moved from one place to another to look for food.

To feed themselves, they hunted wild animals and collected fruits from the forests. They made weapons and tools out of stone, wood and bone. The main weapons were spears  , arrows and the most important tools were the hatchets ( hand axes) , and knives.
The primitive men wore the furs of the animals they hunted.

Half a million years ago human beings discovered fire in the lavas of a volcano, from a natural fire, or other natural disasters.

With fire, primitive men heated the caves and made better weapons and tools. They also heated the food and the fire acted as a deterrent to wild animals.
